"The Biden administration is raising mortgage fees for families who played by the rules and saved to buy a home. It is wrong to penalize these hardworking families and make it harder for them to buy a home. That is why I support legislation to stop President Biden's unfair mortgage rule," said Moolenaar.

"President Tsai's bipartisan meetings this week have been crucial for the relationship between Taiwan and the United States. The people of Taiwan are strong partners for peace, stability, and economic growth," said Moolenaar.

The Congressmen wrote, “The scope and burden of this heavy-handed regulation are not consistent with the reality on the ground in these Southwest Michigan counties. The EPA must recognize that given these counties’ locations, meteorological factors likely brought the pollutants into this region from more major industrial centers like Chicago, IL; Gary, IN; and Milwaukee, WI. Notably, contiguous counties such as Van Buren and Ottawa were not included in this EPA decision. Furthermore, the compliance costs associated with the CAA requirements will improperly impose devastating economic losses on our hardworking communities… While we understand the need for air quality standards, this decision impacting our communities is not appropriate.”

"After two years of reckless spending and record inflation that destroyed the wages and purchasing power of Michigan residents, President Biden has another plan for more runaway spending,” said Moolenaar. “The American people cannot afford Biden’s tax hikes, spending increases, and further expansion of the federal government. Biden’s plan has no chance of passing Congress as is and I will be fighting for common sense policies that will get our country back on track.”
