Moolenaar: Yellen’s Policies Have Hurt Michigan Families
Today, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will visit Michigan where she will give an address on the Biden administration’s economic policies.
"Ever since Secretary Yellen and President Biden took office, their policies have hurt Michigan seniors, families, and small businesses with higher prices, record inflation, and burdensome regulations. Unfortunately, nothing Secretary Yellen says today in Michigan will make life easier for Michigan residents who are paying more for everything they buy,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “Secretary Yellen misled Americans when she said inflation would be transitory and disappear quickly. She has no credibility on the economy now.”
In 2022, Yellen admitted she was wrong when she repeatedly said inflation would be “transitory.”
A recent CBS report found that Michigan residents need to earn $10,435 more just to afford the same standard of living they had before Yellen and Biden took office.
