"This new legislation I am supporting will stop the IRS from hiring 87,000 new employees to comb through the personal finances of the American people,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “Michigan families are hurting because of the recession caused by President Biden and now he is using their hard-earned money to turn around and target them with more IRS agents and audits.”

"Today’s announcement by President Biden takes money from hardworking Michigan families and benefits mostly wealthier Americans who chose to take on debt on their own. Meanwhile, hardworking Michigan residents who learned skilled trades and put those skills to work will now be picking up the tab for personal loans taken out by others,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "It is completely unfair to the many Americans who worked hard and already paid back their loans. All of us will be paying a price for this Biden policy as it will increase inflation and the cost for goods and services.”

Independent experts have now confirmed Biden's bill will not help and Michigan families will continue to feel pain at the gas pump and the grocery store for months to come. Biden and the Democrats have passed trillions in extra spending and they have left Michigan families behind to deal with the consequences of a recession and soaring inflation," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Michigan families are hurting as they deal with the recession and high prices caused by President Biden. Today’s bill doubles down on his failed policies, with higher spending, higher taxes, and bigger government. It slams manufacturers with a $300 billion tax hike, hires 87,000 IRS employees, increases tax audits of hardworking Americans, and raises taxes on American energy," said Moolenaar. "Raising taxes in a recession is wrong and Michigan families should be allowed to keep more of their own money at home."

"America has gone into a recession under President Biden and the historically high inflation has caused Michigan families to spend hundreds of dollars more each month for essential items. On Friday, Biden and the Democrats are planning to ram through a partisan bill that will spend another $700 billion on top of the extra trillions they have already spent in the last 17 months. Michigan families are paying the price for this spending binge and Democrats should immediately abandon Friday’s bill,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“This legislation overspends billions of taxpayer dollars and goes far beyond what is needed for America to lead the world in chip production.” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “With inflation soaring, Democrats added billions of dollars in more spending for federal departments, which will only put the economy at risk of further inflation.”

"Today's announcement that America is now in a recession under President Biden and the Democrats is no surprise to the Michigan families and seniors who have been hurting for months. Democrats’ disastrous economic policies have caused the price of gas and groceries to soar, costing families hundreds of dollars a month," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "It does not have to be this way. When Republicans held the White House and Congress, we had a strong economy with affordable energy and low inflation. Democrats should give up their plans for another partisan spending bill and start working with Republicans. We have been standing with families for over a year and warning Democrats about the high costs of inflation across the country.”

We can have those again if Democrats stop pursuing their failed policies.”
