November 19, 2019 Press Release
“It is an honor to serve as a voice in Congress for my constituents and to work on their behalf when they have issues with the federal government. My office and I can help cut through the red tape, and I hope constituents in mid and northern Michigan will reach out to us when they need assistance with a federal agency. It's been especially meaningful to help so many of our veterans receive the benefits they were promised for serving our country, and that's been one of my biggest priorities since taking office,” said Moolenaar.

“The economy could be doing even better though if the House passed the USMCA trade agreement. So it is unfortunate that Speaker Pelosi said today there may not even be a vote until next year. This agreement was reached nearly a year ago and there should be a vote soon, but it’s clear that impeachment is a more important priority for Democrats than passing a new agreement that will benefit Michigan farmers and manufacturers."

“This funding will allow leaders in Clinton County to use their understanding of community needs to fight the opioid crisis in mid Michigan, as well as educate others about the dangers of substance abuse and the life-changing consequences it can have.”

“Bob Traxler was someone who fought for his constituents and worked across the aisle to get things done. After serving in the Army, he worked in local, state and federal government, and he will be remembered for his life of public service. My prayers today are with his family and friends as they mourn his passing and celebrate his life.”

“I have heard from thousands of my constituents and the majority of them oppose the Democrats’ efforts to remove the president elected with strong support in this district. They want to see people in Washington working together to find common ground on the issues facing our country."

“The Sustainable Chemistry Research and Development Act will promote the safe production of products that millions of Americans use every day by improving coordination between the federal government, the private sector and the scientific community. We have incredible scientific talent in Michigan, and I am confident we will continue to be a world leader in research and sustainable chemistry for years to come. Thank you to my colleagues on the committee for their strong bipartisan support of this legislation, and I hope the entire House will take it up soon.”
October 3, 2019 Press Release
“Even though they’re a long ways away from the battlefield, hardworking men and women in Cadillac are making products that help our soldiers stay safe wherever they go. The people of Michigan have a storied history of making equipment for our troops and this announcement from the Army will continue that tradition for years to come.”
October 3, 2019 Press Release
"We are deeply concerned about the future of the cherry industry in Michigan, and across the country due to significant hardship caused by harmful trade practices and depressed prices. For these reasons, we strongly believe processed sweet and tart cherries should be eligible for assistance under the MFP and request your support for American farmers."
September 25, 2019 Press Release
“Right now, I am working on the issues that matter most to hardworking Michigan residents, including protecting the Great Lakes, building critical infrastructure at the Soo Locks, making a trade deal with our allies, and continuing the strong economy we have in Michigan with four percent unemployment near record-lows. Unfortunately, House Democrats have been doing everything they can to try and impeach President Trump since he was elected in 2016. The impeachment announcement by Speaker Pelosi shows Democrats are bending to the socialist wing of their party at the expense of getting important work done for the American people.”
September 16, 2019 Press Release
“I have worked across the aisle in Congress to move this funding forward and I am glad the Senate Appropriations Committee has followed the work my House colleagues and I did in May. With the House and Senate now in agreement, there is clear bipartisan support for getting this done and we have seen historic progress in the last year and a half after President Trump pledged his support. This is a major infrastructure project that is crucial to manufacturing across the nation and I will continue working in Congress to get this funding across the finish line.”
