“Voting is a fundamental right for American citizens and only citizens should be able to vote in our elections. Last year, Michigan reported that foreign nationals were able to cast a ballot in the 2024 election. This is completely unacceptable. It makes clear that reforms are needed to stop non-citizens from registering and casting a vote. The SAVE America Act takes common sense steps to protect the integrity of our elections, restore confidence in the system, and ensure the law is enforced,” said Moolenaar.

“Michigan is ready to lead the nation in drone innovation, testing, and manufacturing,” said Moolenaar. “Today’s announcement is an important step forward as we reenergize Michigan’s defense manufacturing industry. It will harness Michigan’s private sector innovators, manufacturing expertise, and advanced training facilities to help strengthen our national security.”

"Today's bills fund important programs that support Michigan families. They deliver a pay raise for our brave men and women in the military, bolster funding for rural health care, and strengthen our border security," said Moolenaar. "They also invest in housing to make it affordable again."

"Gotion has reached a new low as it seeks to bankrupt Green Charter Township. The people of Mecosta County, and the State of Michigan have thoroughly rejected it, but it is still trying to hold the town hostage. The CCP-affiliated company will stop at nothing to build a plant that no one wants."

“Congratulations to Levi, Jayvyn, James, and Nathan on creating an innovative app that addresses an important cybersecurity issue,” said Moolenaar. “Learning to code and applying those skills to real-world challenges can open the door to strong career opportunities while also helping protect individuals and communities from online threats.”

“Infrastructure projects are critical to public safety, economic growth, and the long-term resilience of our communities,” said Moolenaar. “I appreciate the Committee’s attention to these Michigan priorities, and I will keep working to ensure Michigan’s Second Congressional District receives the support it needs.”

“Members of Congress are entrusted by the American people to represent them faithfully in Washington D.C. and should not use their position to enrich themselves off of insider information. It would be a betrayal of the public to do so otherwise,” said Moolenaar. “This is commonsense legislation and I urge its immediate passage.”
