Veterans

Our nation’s veterans and wounded warriors have sacrificed in defense of our country. Their dedication and commitment, along with that of their families, has ensured our freedom and should never be taken for granted.

Our veterans deserve the absolute highest quality medical care and benefits for their service. We must ensure that returning military members have access to every benefit they have been promised, As such, Congress should focus on stringent oversight of the VA to ensure veterans are getting the services they need. I will continue to put our veterans first, and fight for legislation that removes barriers for our returning veterans.

May 14, 2020 Press Release
"I have been working hard to support funding for our health care professionals on the frontlines of this crisis and to protect Michigan families from the health and economic threats of the Coronavirus pandemic,” said Moolenaar. “In the past two months, I have supported direct payments to families, as well as billions of dollars for our small businesses, rural hospitals, states, and local governments. We should see how this funding helps our country first before pushing through another bill. The legislation proposed by Democrats this week would slow the economic recovery families need, burden small businesses, hurt jobs, and advance a liberal wishlist of ideas unrelated to the Coronavirus."
April 18, 2020 Press Release
"The Fourth District is home for thousands of brave Michigan residents who served our country and they should receive their payments as quickly as possible to help them and their families during this difficult time for our country. These payments are critical support for all Michigan families right now and millions of residents will receive them in the weeks ahead."
