“Acting Secretary Su’s indifference to rural America has harmed Michigan farmers and their hope for a prosperous future. I have heard fifth and sixth-generation farmers in my district say they will be the last in their family to farm unless something changes. Unfortunately, the Biden administration and Acting Secretary Su are not addressing this issue with the urgency that is needed. The House should pass my Supporting Farm Operations Act to stop Biden’s increases and provide relief for farmers,” said Moolenaar after the hearing.

“Inflation in March was higher than the experts thought, but it was no surprise to the Michigan families who are paying more for everything they buy under President Biden. His policies have printed trillions of dollars, sparked inflation, burdened small businesses, and generally made life harder for Americans,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“I am thankful to the Speaker for this appointment, and I look forward to working with Ranking Member Krishnamoorthi, the members of the Select Committee, House leaders, and the standing committees in the weeks and months ahead. Together, we can help our country prepare for the challenges we face from the Chinese Communist Party and win the competition against the CCP,” said Moolenaar. “I am also grateful to Chairman Gallagher. He has been an incredible leader for our country as a member of the military, and as a member of Congress, where he was instrumental in creating the Select Committee. His selfless and faithful stewardship of the Select Committee has been a tremendous success and benefited the American people.”

“Secretary Vilsack had an opportunity to side with Michigan farmers today and commit to standing up for them within the Biden administration, especially with the Department of Labor. Unfortunately, Secretary Vilsack refused to do so. He should stand up for Michigan farmers and endorse my Supporting Farm Operations Act,” said Moolenaar.

“As Michigan families struggle to make ends meet, President Biden has unveiled a plan that would raise taxes and push American jobs overseas. Michiganders know Biden’s reckless spending in his first two years in office fueled record levels of inflation and higher prices on everything they buy. New tax hikes will raise the cost of living even higher and hurt Michigan again,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“Michiganders are worse off today than when President Biden took office and tonight’s speech showed he is doubling down on the same failed policies that have raised the cost of living on Michigan families these past three years,” said Moolenaar. “President Biden’s massive spending and money printing caused record inflation and Michigan residents are paying higher prices for his failed agenda every day.”

“Under President Biden, out-of-control spending has become the norm, but today’s appropriations bill serves as an important step to get America back on track. This legislation will cut wasteful spending at federal agencies and ensure our veterans are taken care of,” said Moolenaar “I am also proud my work on the House Appropriations Committee to bring vital funding to the Second District to benefit our communities. This funding will address flooding issues in Midland County, renovate the fire house in Sparta, build new housing in Cadillac, build a park in Shelby, and help the Saginaw Chippewa tribe renovate its water treatment facilities.”

She has no credibility on the economy now.”
