“Today’s arrests highlight how the Chinese Communist Party uses resources in America to advance its agenda and harass people who speak out against the CCP. This is another example of why state and local leaders should not allow the subsidiary of Gotion High Tech to build a massive facility in Michigan. A company that pledges allegiance to the CCP will use all its resources, including subsidiaries, to carry out the CCP's agenda,” said Congressman John Moolenaar, a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party.

"For the last 700 days, Michigan families have been forced to pay higher costs at the pump because of President Biden’s policies. He killed a pipeline project and thousands of American jobs on his first day in office, and has made it harder to produce energy here in our country. That is why I voted for the Lower Energy Costs Act. It will help Michigan families, create jobs, and cut red tape so more energy is Made in the USA."

Treasury Sanctions CCP Fentanyl Producers, But More Must Be Done To Stop Fentanyl, Secure the Border

"The fentanyl that is killing Michiganders comes from Mexico and is made with chemicals that come from China. The sanctions that were announced today will do little to stop these criminals who are already outside the United States. While the Biden administration knows fentanyl is killing Americans, it must do more to secure the border and stop the flow of this dangerous drug from coming into the country," said Congressman John Moolenaar, a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

"The Biden administration's new rules will all but force Americans to buy electric cars. This is wrong. We need competition and policies that let Americans choose the vehicles that best meet their needs. Americans are always willing to adapt technology, and they do not need the government to force them to do it. In the past 30 years alone, Americans have bought personal computers and smart phones because they wanted the technology and it was affordable, not because the government forced them to do it. The average cost of an electric vehicle last year was $61,000. Michigan families cannot afford this terrible Biden policy," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Michigan's own Gerald Ford knew the importance of putting country over politics and how to do what is right. The Manhattan DA's prosecution of former President Donald Trump appears to be the opposite of that. The DA has chosen to make a spectacle of the justice system that will further divide the country in order to reportedly bring a case that two other prosecutors investigated and did not pursue. The DA’s decision sets America on a dangerous course that makes it more likely that political parties will use the legal system to prosecute their opponents each time they gain power.”

"The cost of living under President Biden has increased dramatically, in large part because of energy costs. Biden says he wants to make more products in America, but his actions on American energy say otherwise. He killed a pipeline on his first day in office and his administration just delayed tunnel construction for Line 5 for another year and a half. I voted for the Lower Energy Costs Act because it will help Michigan families, create jobs, and cut red tape so more energy is Made in the USA," said Congressman Moolenaar.

"Michigan students have fallen behind because of state and local governments that kept them out of the classroom. Kids were forced to learn on Zoom and when parents saw what was going on, many of them were outraged by lesson plans that were not focused on what their kids should be learning," said Moolenaar. "Parents are the best advocates for students, and this legislation ensures they can be involved in their children's education."
