"Our veterans put their lives on the line in service to our country and deserve the best service from the VA. I have heard from many veterans that there are simply not enough patient advocates at the VA," said Congressman Moolenaar. "The legislation will increase the number of patient advocates and improve accountability, so our veterans will receive better care and attention from VA staff." 

"Parents know what is best for their children and this legislation will empower states and communities to provide parents with the best opportunities for students. Programs created by Washington bureaucrats are not able to serve every community across this country. The needs of students are different, whether they are in Michigan, Texas, California, or New York. The A Plus Act will eliminate burdensome regulations and help states address the biggest needs of parents and students at the state and local level,” said Congressman Moolenaar.

"I am grateful for the privilege to advocate for Michigan’s most important priorities including rural development, protecting the Great Lakes, and supporting seniors. I will be questioning federal officials and holding them accountable for their spending proposals. Michigan residents work hard and their tax dollars should never be wasted,” said Moolenaar.

"The pandemic is over – President Biden said so himself – and yet there are still unspent funds sitting at federal departments that he said were needed for the pandemic response. It is time to direct those funds back to the Treasury and pay down the debt. The trillions Biden has already spent in just two years has helped drive inflation to 40-year highs. My legislation will help rein in inflation that is hurting Michigan families and stop Biden from spending even more,” said Moolenaar.

China has been actively working to weaken America. It is buying U.S. farmland, stealing inventions, jeopardizing the health of every person in the world, and building up its military while threatening its neighbors. I look forward to working with my colleagues to address all of these issues, as well as our nation’s supply chain concerns, in order to better prepare America for the challenges from the Chinese Communist Party,” said Moolenaar.

“American students have fallen behind, with math and reading scores declining to the lowest levels in decades. Parents are frustrated and they deserve to have the best available options for their kids. They are looking for schools with the resources and curriculum that allow their children to reach their fullest potential. As co-chair of the School Choice Caucus, I am proud to stand with them in supporting parents’ rights and school choice for students,” said Congressman Moolenaar.

"The Chinese government is actively working to weaken the United States and the Biden administration needs to do more to stand up to China’s aggression. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve's purpose is to make sure our country has the oil we need in the event of a national emergency, and that is why I voted to make sure none of that oil is sold to China,” said Moolenaar.
