"Under President Biden's open border policies, there has been a surge in the number of migrants who have illegally crossed the U.S.-Canada border, with human trafficking and drug smuggling occuring more frequently. This is unacceptable," said Moolenaar. "I am proud to join the Northern Border Security Caucus and work with my colleagues to secure the northern border and protect our communities."

“The WHO’s decision to add North Korea to its executive board is just the latest disgrace from an organization that has a long history of politicizing its mission and siding with dictators and authoritarian regimes. I support legislation that will require the U.S. to leave the WHO and end taxpayer funding for the organization. We cannot be a part of an organization that elects North Korea to its executive board,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Today’s legislation is a win for the American people because it ends the broken status quo in Washington and stops the Biden spending spree that made Americans poorer with record-high inflation. The bill also includes my proposal to save billions of dollars in unused COVID funding and avoids a disastrous default on the national debt. Finally, the bill brings accountability back to the government and saves billions of dollars by adding work requirements for welfare for able-bodied Americans,” said Moolenaar.

"For four months, President Biden has jeopardized the credit of the United States and refused to work across the aisle to address the national debt. He ignored repeated calls for negotiations and now, he is one week away from putting Michigan families through a disastrous default. I voted to avoid a default and responsibly cut COVID spending that is sitting in departments in Washington D.C. Biden must follow Republicans’ lead and come to an agreement to avoid a disastrous default," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"President Biden wants to make hardworking Michigan families pay for the degrees and debt individuals ran up when they made the choice to go to college. His unconstitutional plan was never passed by Congress and it penalizes Michigan residents who looked at their finances and made the decision not to go into debt. It also penalizes people who played by the rules and paid off their loans," said Moolenaar. "Colleges and universities should do more to lower costs and provide value to students so they can have successful careers. President Biden’s law-breaking attempt to spend billions of dollars without congressional approval is not the answer to the costs of college."

"The Department of Energy has made the right decision by revoking taxpayer funding for a CCP-affiliated company. When are the State of Michigan and Green Township going to do the right thing? It is a historic mistake to bring these companies into our local communities when every action the CCP takes seeks to undermine America. The CCP-connected Gotion project is wrong for Mecosta County and Michigan," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“I voted for H.R. 2 because it will help secure the southern border and keep our country safe. President Biden’s border policies have benefited drug cartels and human traffickers, while subjecting women and children to horrific sexual abuse, and allowing fentanyl to pour across the border and kill Americans. His policies have allowed six million people to cross the border in the past two years – 30 times the population of Grand Rapids – and released many of them on the honor system to appear in court in the future. This broken status quo cannot continue and the U.S. Senate should immediately consider H.R. 2 to address Biden’s border crisis.”

"TikTok is actively working on behalf of the CCP to attack free speech right here in Michigan. CEO Shou Zi Chew must answer more questions about why he claims his company is independent but continues to censor free speech the CCP does not like," said Moolenaar. "Michigan residents simply cannot trust TikTok or the CCP.”
