“Obamacare has forced health care costs through the roof. This legislation will help Michigan families choose the affordable health insurance they want,” said Moolenaar. "Additionally, we are lowering drug costs for Michigan seniors by requiring middlemen to be transparent and honest about their pricing."

“For months, I have worked closely with the administration to ensure specialty crops are included in this relief package because these growers are essential to our food supply. Michigan is one of the most agriculturally diverse states in the country and this specialty crop aid will help our growers," said Moolenaar. "President Trump is countering China's predatory trade practices and we will have our farmers' backs."

“For years, Congress has worked to create a memorial that reflects the Adams family’s leadership and service to our country. My bill moves this important project forward to celebrate this historic family as we approach the nation’s 250th anniversary,” said Moolenaar. “The United States would not be where it is today without their service.”

"Clean and accurate voter rolls are foundational to free and fair elections. Secretary Benson's refusal to provide these records directly undermines that principle and raises serious concerns about the transparency and accountability of her office... As the Michigan Legislature has, we demand her to immediately comply with the DOJ’s lawful request for Michigan’s unredacted voter registration data and to cooperate fully with federal election integrity efforts," wrote the lawmakers.

“President Trump and Republicans are making America into a powerhouse for safe, reliable energy production. Tonight’s legislation builds on the administration’s work by cutting red tape to lower energy costs. It’s good for jobs, good for our economy, and good for America’s national security.” said Moolenaar.

"For the last year, I have been working with community leaders to fund much-needed projects throughout the district. Last night, I included seven of these projects in the bill that reopened the government. These projects, whether buying a firetruck or expanding a childcare center, will provide much needed relief to Michigan families and I am looking forward to seeing them through to the end," said Moolenaar.
