Moolenaar Named International Dairy Foods Association Leadership Award Recipient
Congressman John Moolenaar has been awarded the International Dairy Foods Association’s (IDFA) Leadership Award. This honor is given annually to federal lawmakers in recognition of their support for the U.S. dairy industry. Moolenaar was one of just two members of the House of Representatives to receive the award this year.
“I am honored to receive IDFA’s Leadership Award for 2023. The dairy industry is vital to Michigan’s economy and plays an important role in the lives of Michigan families,” said Moolenaar. “I will continue to support policies that help Michigan dairy producers get their products to market and feed our country.”
The dairy industry employs more than 3.2 million people in the United States and has a national economic impact of more than $700 billion annually. Michigan is home to 92 dairy processing plants, shipping Pure Michigan products across America and around the world.
