Moolenaar Applauds Israeli President Herzog’s Address to Congress
Today, Israeli President Isaac Herzog addressed a joint session of Congress to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Israel’s statehood, and to recognize the relationship between Israel and the United States. The joint address came a day after the House passed a bipartisan resolution reaffirming America’s support of Israel. President Herzog is just the second Israeli President to address a joint session of Congress.
“President Herzog’s address was a powerful reminder of the strong bonds between the United States and Israel. Our two countries have faced many challenges but we are always united as allies for freedom and democracy. I congratulate the Israeli people this year as they celebrate the 75th anniversary of Israel’s independence,” said Congressman John Moolenaar, who attended Herzog’s remarks on Wednesday morning and voted for the resolution.
