“President Biden must make fentanyl and related substances a permanent Schedule 1 narcotic so law enforcement across this country has the tools to stop the deadly spread of this drug,” said Moolenaar. “At the same time, Biden must end his open border policies, which have made it easier for drug traffickers to bring drugs across the southern border. Michigan residents who live thousands of miles from the southern border are paying the price as deadly fentanyl is brought in to our communities.”

"Inflation is hurting Michigan residents, especially families and seniors. Their money is not going as far as it used to as they pay more for groceries and energy. President’s Biden’s massive federal spending, energy policies, and vaccine mandates, especially on truck drivers and health care workers, have all contributed to labor shortages and rising prices across the nation,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "Before the pandemic, the U.S. had historically low unemployment and low inflation. Now, after only one year in office, President Biden has managed to drive up prices, cause labor and supply shortages, and discourage energy development.”

"Right now, TSA is allowing people to board flights even though ICE has issued a warrant for their arrest. That makes no sense and it needs to stop. The Crime Doesn’t Fly Act will end this practice, improve airline safety, and help restore the rule of law to the immigration process,” said Moolenaar.

"The Biden Administration must secure the border and enforce our nation's laws, especially for the thousands of lawbreaking migrants who fail to observe their Notice to Appear. Enforcing these notices is a crucial step in upholding the rule of law," said Moolenaar.

"Medicare Advantage is crucial for Michigan seniors. As CMS considers updates to Medicare Advantage for 2023, it must ensure it will continue to provide high-quality, affordable health care for Michigan seniors," said Moolenaar.

"President Biden is opening the border for illegal immigration by providing flights to people who break the law, which encourages them to come to the United States and enter the country illegally. I am proud to support this legislation which will uphold the rule of law and bring an end to these flights that reward and release lawbreaking immigrants into the country,” said Moolenaar.

“Justice Breyer consistently ruled against the dignity of human life and opposed pro-life policies. Science has found that babies in the womb have a heartbeat after six weeks, arms and legs after ten weeks, and major organs after 15 weeks. These unborn children have the right to life and future generations of Americans will look back in sadness on Justice Breyer’s support for unlimited abortion,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“This is a victory for the American people, but President Biden must do more, and end his mandates on health care workers, Head Start teachers, and truck drivers. Biden’s top-down approach has not worked. His mandates could potentially cause larger labor shortages, and negatively affect the supply chains Michigan families depend on.”
