"Michigan families are being hurt by rising energy costs and I appreciated the opportunity to meet with a local energy provider today to discuss how policies from the Biden Administration are affecting costs,” said Moolenaar. “Propane is a vital energy source for many homeowners in Michigan, and if the Biden Administration’s anti-pipeline policies cause Line 5 to be shutdown, that could seriously raise costs on Michigan families. I hope Line 5 tunnel construction will be expedited and allowed to move forward, because that is the safest solution to meeting our state’s energy needs.”

“As Michigan families and seniors continue to be hurt by inflation and rising prices, Democrats in Washington continue to ignore the crisis. Instead of addressing the rising cost of living, every House Democrat voted today to take the money Michigan families pay in taxes and use some of it to fund their own political campaigns in November. They also voted to abolish voter ID requirements even though the American people overwhelmingly support voter ID. Overall, the bill the Democrats passed today will harm election integrity and make it easier for people to break the law,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“Americans should have the right to decide whether or not they want to get the COVID-19 vaccine and today’s ruling is a massive victory. The Court rightfully determined that the Biden Administration went too far in trying to burden private businesses and force the vaccine on their employees,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Today's inflation numbers confirm what we are seeing in Michigan - rising prices are hurting Michigan’s seniors and families as their money does not go as far as it used to,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "Before the pandemic we had record levels of employment, rising wages, and low inflation. Now, in his first year in office, President Biden has discouraged energy development, driven up gas prices, paid more money for people not to work, and allowed the backlog at our nation’s ports to hit record highs. Biden’s policies are not working.”

"Americans should have the right to decide if they want to take the COVID-19 vaccine and I believe President Biden implementing his mandate through executive rule is unconstitutional. If the mandate is upheld, Michigan businesses will face higher costs for employees and hard-to-find tests, and those costs will be passed on to Michigan families and seniors. I have introduced a bill to block this mandate and I will continue to fight for that legislation in Congress until the mandate is ended," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Agriculture is vital to Michigan and I am proud to join the Congressional FFA Caucus. I have worked with Michigan FFA for many years and I know they will do an excellent job of developing the next generation of talented young leaders who will help feed our nation for years to come. I look forward to working with them to promote Michigan agriculture and help our farming communities succeed,” said Congressman Moolenaar.

"Congratulations to Allison, Elliana, and Lauren on creating their new app and utilizing their skills to make a positive difference in the community. Learning a coding language and putting those skills to use can help open the door to good-paying jobs not only now, but also in the future," said Congressman Moolenaar. "I want to thank everyone who participated in this year's Congressional App Challenge and encourage the incredibly talented students of mid and northern Michigan to participate again next year."

"The judges who approved of the Biden Administration's vaccine mandate have blown open a massive loophole for President Biden and future presidents to prescribe their preferred medicines through 'emergency' executive rule on millions of Americans," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "I believe Americans should have the right to decide if they want the vaccine and that implementing this mandate on employers is unconstitutional. If this mandate goes forward employers will be forced to find new workers and pay for millions of tests, and those costs will be passed on to Michigan families who are already facing rising prices for everything they buy. I will continue to fight this executive overreach in Congress and push for my legislation, the No Vaccine Mandate Act."

"Inflation is hurting Michigan families and seniors, who are paying more everyday for what they need, including gas and groceries. Under President Biden, they have been forced to take a pay cut because their money simply does not go as far as used it to," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "I will continue to oppose Biden's partisan "Build Back Better" plan because we know the trillions he has already spent this year has contributed to the higher prices everyone is paying right now."
