“Don Young was a sportsman who loved the outdoors and conservation, and he fiercely championed the Second Amendment and the people of Alaska. As a veteran and lifelong public servant, he fought to do what was best for our country. I will miss his humor, and the joy he brought to the House of Representatives,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Russia's invasion is unacceptable and it continues to escalate the violence, bombing hospitals and other buildings filled with innocent people, including children. Ending normal trade relations with Putin and his corrupt regime must be done as quickly as possible and that is why I voted for this legislation today,” said Moolenaar.

"President Zelenskyy has shown incredible courage and bravery during Russia’s invasion and his remarks today were inspiring. His heroic leadership and patriotism have led the Ukrainian people through weeks of war, and they have fared far better than anyone ever expected. The Biden Administration must work quickly with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military aid it needs to fight for its survival and defeat the invasion,” said Congressman John Moolenaar following the address.

"President Biden and his administration are requiring toddlers to mask even though there is little risk of them spreading COVID. Forcing them to wear masks will have negative effects on their development and President Biden should end this rule immediately,” said Moolenaar.

“The cost of oil will be a concern for decades to come, and even with electric vehicles, the United States will still need oil, because it is used to make vehicle parts and millions of other products Americans use every day,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “Instead of begging other countries to produce more oil, President Biden should expedite approval for oil and gas projects here at home. This will create jobs and help the country meet its current and future energy needs as part of a comprehensive strategy that involves oil, gas, and other sources of energy.”

"It is long past time for President Biden to do away with COVID restrictions and mandates on the American people,” said Congressman Moolenaar. “President Biden is out of touch and I trust Michigan families to make decisions that are best for themselves and their families.” 

"Michigan families and seniors just endured another month of record inflation under President Biden. Today, they are paying an average price of $4.26 for a gallon of gas and that cost will ripple through the economy, raising the cost of food and other products they need. Before the pandemic, our country enjoyed record low unemployment and low inflation, and we can get there again by reversing Biden’s failed policies. Biden wants to blame Russia for inflation, but prices have been rising for months now, especially after Biden canceled energy projects and signed a $2 trillion bill last March that paid people extra money not to work,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“The situation in Ukraine remains dire with the latest reports indicating Russia has bombed a maternity hospital and other civilian areas. I hope that additional support for Ukraine and penalties for Russia will help Ukraine to victory over Vladimir Putin and his corrupt regime,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.
