"Jackie Walorski took pride in representing the people of Indiana and fought every day for what was right for her district. She always had a charitable spirit and before being elected to office her courageous philanthropy changed the lives of thousands of children. I will miss Jackie’s friendship, steadfast leadership, strong faith, and passion for public service,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “My prayers are with the Walorski family and her congressional team as they mourn this tragic loss of three special people.”

"This far-left gun ban violates the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding Michiganders to defend themselves. Today’s extreme proposal would ban many of the firearms legally owned by Michigan residents and make them illegal,” said Moolenaar. "Many Democrats would ban all private gun ownership if they could. That’s why I will never stop fighting for the Constitution and the rights of Michigan residents."

“This legislation overspends billions of taxpayer dollars and goes far beyond what is needed for America to lead the world in chip production.” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “With inflation soaring, Democrats added billions of dollars in more spending for federal departments, which will only put the economy at risk of further inflation.”

"Today's announcement that America is now in a recession under President Biden and the Democrats is no surprise to the Michigan families and seniors who have been hurting for months. Democrats’ disastrous economic policies have caused the price of gas and groceries to soar, costing families hundreds of dollars a month," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "It does not have to be this way. When Republicans held the White House and Congress, we had a strong economy with affordable energy and low inflation. Democrats should give up their plans for another partisan spending bill and start working with Republicans. We have been standing with families for over a year and warning Democrats about the high costs of inflation across the country.”

"Every child is a precious gift and has the right to life. We must protect these innocent children who are unable to protect themselves, and this extreme legislation would allow for abortion up until birth," said Moolenaar. "I will always defend the right to life and fight against Democrats' efforts to provide unlimited abortion. Earlier this week, I cosponsored legislation to help expecting mothers, and I will continue to support pregnancy resource centers that provide mothers and children with vital assistance."

"Now that the Supreme Court has ruled for life, we must help mothers and their young children. Life begins at conception and expecting mothers should receive benefits they would otherwise receive after giving birth,” said Moolenaar. "Every child is a precious gift and this legislation will help mothers prepare for the arrival of their newborns.”

"Under President Biden, Michigan families have been forced to take a pay cut because their money does not go as far as it used to. President Biden and the Democrats need to abandon their plans for another partisan spending bill, which they are pursuing right now. Michigan families cannot afford for them to double down on the inflation they have caused with their policies in the past year and a half,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “When Republicans last held the House, Senate, and White House, we had low inflation, affordable energy, and a strong economy. We can have those again if Democrats stop pursuing their failed policies.”

“The Biden Administration’s new charter school rules are an underhanded attack on parents, students, and the teachers who work at charters,” said Moolenaar, who is the co-chair of the Congressional School Choice Caucus. “By making it harder for these schools to receive grant funding, the Biden Administration is attempting to limit the opportunities parents can choose for their children. It’s wrong, and I am fighting for education freedom so parents and students will have more charter school choices available to them.”
