Moolenaar: Manhattan DA’s Decision Puts Politics Over Country

Congressman John Moolenaar made the following statement regarding the indictment of former President Donald Trump:

"Michigan's own Gerald Ford knew the importance of putting country over politics and how to do what is right. The Manhattan DA's prosecution of former President Donald Trump appears to be the opposite of that. The DA has chosen to make a spectacle of the justice system that will further divide the country in order to reportedly bring a case that two other prosecutors investigated and did not pursue. The DA’s decision sets America on a dangerous course that makes it more likely that political parties will use the legal system to prosecute their opponents each time they gain power.”
