Moolenaar: Biden's EV Mandate Kills Michigan Jobs

Today, General Motors reportedly laid off approximately 1,000 employees. The announcement comes as Michigan automakers are struggling to meet standards set by the Biden administration on electric vehicles. 

"President Biden's electric vehicle mandate is killing Michigan jobs and hurting our automakers. His administration is working to force EVs into the market when Americans who have made it clear they do not want them. I look forward to working with President-elect Trump to end Biden's EV mandate, and strengthen Michigan's auto industry," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

in 2023, President Biden announced his goal to have two-thirds of new cars sold in America to be electric by 2032.
