“Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorist activities in the world, killing innocent people, including Americans. It was disgraceful for President Biden to even promise this $6 billion to Iran in the first place. I am supporting this legislation because it will ensure the funds are permanently frozen and that Iran will never have them,” said Moolenaar.

“The Chinese Communist Party is the No. 1 economic adversary of the United States. We can never allow federal officials to duck their responsibility to stop activities that are harmful to our country. They must examine and stop land purchases by CCP-affiliated individuals and companies. I am proud to introduce this legislation to provide CFIUS with the jurisdiction it needs to stop the CCP’s efforts to build factories, purchase land, and acquire influence over America,” said Moolenaar.

“This resolution sends a clear message to Israel, its enemies, and the entire world that the United States stands with Israel. As Americans, we must be resolute in our support for Israel and the Jewish people so they know they will never have to face their enemies alone. There is no doubt that Iran, Hamas, and other terrorist organizations want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. We will do everything we can to make sure that never happens,” said Moolenaar.

“There are major issues facing our country right now and they include debt, spending, and the crisis at the southern border created by President Biden’s failed policies. Vacating the chair and partnering with liberal Democrats to throw out the Speaker is not conservative. It paralyzes the House of Representatives and allows Biden and the Democrats to enact their agenda with no pushback. I am focused on fighting Biden’s disastrous agenda by uniting Republicans and passing legislation that makes our country better by securing the country’s borders and helping Michigan families who are struggling with the costs of Biden’s inflation,” said Moolenaar.

The Native American Health Savings Act is bipartisan, common-sense legislation that will make it easier for Native Americans to contribute to their HSAs and save money for their health care. I am happy to see this important legislation has been passed by the Ways and Means Committee. I encourage my colleagues in the House of Representatives to support it when it comes to the floor,” said Moolenaar.

“Vocational education provides students with affordable alternatives to college and allows them to gain the skills they need for good-paying jobs. It is vital that these courses remain available for students and the TASK Act would ensure this essential instruction remains affordable for students in Michigan and across the country,” said Moolenaar.

“The Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians have made Michigan a better place and they are worthy of full recognition from the federal government. This legislation will cut through the red tape the tribe has experienced in dealing with the Department of Interior," said Moolenaar. "It is long overdue, and I am proud to join the tribe and its supporters across Michigan in advocating for this important effort for federal recognition."

“Over the past year, we have learned about the very concerning ties Gotion has with the Chinese Communist Party, including its parent company making products for the Chinese military, and the son of a CCP official leading Gotion’s American operations. The CCP will use any form of leverage it has to pursue its agenda and further its goals against the United States,” said Moolenaar. “The Gotion project is still not in the best interest of Michigan and should be stopped.”

“The opioid crisis has impacted Michigan families of every background. Unfortunately, this issue has begun to affect more school children than ever before. I am supporting this legislation because it will increase access to life-saving resources and help make sure rural schools in particular receive much-needed funding to confront this crisis,” said Moolenaar.

"While I support Ford’s decision to put the Marshall project on hold, President Biden should end his tailpipe policies and give American automakers and their employees the freedom to innovate and create the auto technologies of the future. Right now, Biden’s current policies force American auto companies to be more dependent on the Chinese Communist Party and the electric vehicle materials that China has a stranglehold on,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.
