“Last year, we made incredible progress in funding the Army Corps, and having it include Soo Locks construction in its work plan. I successfully worked across the aisle on the Appropriations Committee to fund vital priorities including fighting the opioid crisis, expanding rural broadband access, and fully-funding the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. I look forward to continuing this important work for Michigan in the months ahead as Congress debates federal funding for 2020.”

Telemedicine offers new ways for patients and doctors to connect, and I will be working to expand rural broadband access so this technology can potentially be used in more communities across mid and northern Michigan.”
