The event was hosted by U.S. Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Midland, and is part of a larger effort to recognize and honor those who served during Vietnam, only to come home to criticism and disdain from many of their fellow countrymen.
The new caucus will "serve as an informal group of members dedicated to issues related to the transformative science of chemistry," according to a press release issued by Moolenaar on Wednesday, April 27.
Today, Congressman John Moolenaar (R-MI) and Congressman Daniel Lipinski (D-IL) announced the formation of the Congressional Chemistry Caucus.
Moolenaar, a member of the House Agriculture Committee, said the nutrition-related legislation seeks to attract long-term investment in a low-income urban area that has long been under-served by chain grocery stores that sell fresh fruit and vegetables.
