"Before the pandemic, our country had low unemployment and low inflation. Now, because of President Biden’s failed ideas and reckless spending spree, Michigan residents are paying more for everything. Biden and his team used to say inflation would just go away. They were wrong and now they want to blame anything other than their failed policies for the year-long rise in prices hurting Michigan families,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“I have fought for our region to receive additional cost-sharing support from the federal government and this announcement is the culmination of that work. This additional cost-sharing will save local governments and area residents millions of dollars,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"As the parent of servicemembers, I have seen how the academies can transform young men and women into incredible leaders. This fair will be an outstanding opportunity to learn more about these vital institutions and how they prepare students for leadership and service,” said Moolenaar.

“President Biden is ending COVID rules for people who break the law and illegally cross the border, while at the same time forcing hardworking Americans and their children to follow COVID restrictions and mandates,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “Biden’s decision today will lead to further chaos and directly benefit the drug cartels who smuggle people and fentanyl across the border. It will put our law enforcement at risk and increase the potential for American families to lose a loved one to a drug overdose. Finally, we know that people from around the world go to the southern border to enter the United States. After today’s announcement, many groups who wish to harm our country are likely looking to travel to Mexico so they can illegally enter the United States next month.”

"I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend Joanne Emmons. She was a dedicated public servant for almost three decades and our state is better off today because of her leadership and commitment to public service. She provided outstanding assistance to her constituents, and she was a faithful steward of taxpayer dollars, while always fighting to defend the lives of the unborn. I join her family and friends in mourning her passing and celebrating her life."

“Fixing prices is not a cure for our health care system. The government cannot unilaterally limit the price of medicine, food, or any other product without there being serious unintended consequences that make things worse than they were before,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “New cures, treatments, and innovation will help all Americans live longer and healthier lives, and today’s legislation falls short of supporting those goals.”

“President Biden is draining our country’s strategic reserve of oil, which we need for real emergencies, and using it for his own personal emergency. Biden is desperate to cover up the high costs of his failed energy policies and he is putting national security at risk to do it,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “This administration’s energy policies have caused pain for Michigan residents, and it must do more to allow American energy development and pipeline construction.”

"The Biden Administration refuses to act on common sense and remove the transit mask mandate. This legislation already passed the Senate with bipartisan support from eight Democrats and it should be immediately considered in the House so the American people know where their representatives stand," said Moolenaar.
