“It is vital to protect unborn children – they are the most vulnerable people in our society and the right to life is a founding principle of our country. Each unborn child is precious and worthy of protection, but today's legislation would tragically make it easier for their lives to be cut short. Science shows us that babies in the womb have a heartbeat after six weeks, arms and legs after ten weeks, and all of their major organs after 15 weeks. We must protect these innocent lives and I will continue to support resources for mothers, children, and young families,” said Congressman John Moolenaar, who voted against the Democrats' abortion bill.

“The Iron Dome saved countless lives earlier this year when it intercepted terrorist rocket attacks aimed at the people of Israel. This vital technology is made possible by the strong partnership between the United States and Israel, and today’s legislation will help ensure Israel has the resources it needs to defend itself in the future,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “The partnership between Israel and the United States helps keep Americans and Israelis safe at home and abroad, and we must always work together to protect our citizens against terrorists who wish to do us harm.”

“Over the last year and a half, telehealth became an indispensable part of our health care system, and Michigan seniors were able to use it to meet with their doctors and access critical resources while staying safe," said Congressman Moolenaar. “Telehealth is a useful tool in modern medicine that helps increase access to care for Michigan families, while saving time for doctors and patients."

"This is a special honor for the late Steve Andrews and his entire family. Steve was a patriot who served our country in the Navy and then gave back to northern Michigan as an elected official and community leader. This legislation honors his life and will help future generations learn about his legacy of service. I am thankful to my friend Jack Bergman for introducing this legislation and proud of our entire Michigan delegation for coming together to honor this special hero for our state," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“I am proud to be a cosponsor of this legislation which recognizes the members of the Six Triple Eight for their service dedication. The Congressional Gold Medal is one of our nation's highest honors and the women of the Six Triple Eight deserve such an award,” said Congressman Moolenaar, a cosponsor of the legislation. “The work done by the Six Triple Eight to clear the backlog of mail in the European theater ensured troops stayed in touch with their loved ones and this morale boost was a significant contribution to the war effort.”

“Many constituents have reached out to me about this proposal, and I share their concerns. This would be a violation of privacy by the government upon millions of Americans and the proposal would do more harm than good by creating higher costs that would be passed on to customers,” said Congressman Moolenaar. “It would also require more electronic information to be collected about Americans, thus making their personal information more vulnerable to cyberattacks. Americans already report a large amount of data to the IRS, and there is no evidence the Democrats' new requirements would substantially help the IRS do more to stop wrongdoing."

“Patriot Week celebrates the Constitution and the founding principles of this country, while honoring the victims of 9/11, and encouraging a deeper exploration of our nation’s history,” said Congressman Moolenaar. “It is important to recognize and celebrate the American spirit, and I am proud to cosponsor this resolution that serves as a reminder of the values and freedoms that define who we are as Americans.”

"Today, we honor the men and women who lost their lives twenty years ago during the tragic events of 9/11. This is a time to remember, reflect and come together to memorialize the innocent. We will never forget the heroic first responders and courageous citizens in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C., who took action and made the ultimate sacrifice to save the lives of countless people. My prayers go out to all who grieve, and I give thanks for the millions of courageous men and women who serve our communities and our country every day."

"The federal government has no right to impose this requirement on private businesses or private citizens," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "President Biden declared that America was free from COVID restrictions in July, but now he is reluctant to let the American people make their own decisions. This federal overreach is alarming and every American should be concerned about how this president and future presidents will abuse the power of the federal government to make Americans do what they want. "I encourage everyone to get one of the vaccines and protect themselves from COVID-19, and I trust Michigan residents to do what is best for them and their families."

“Michigan small businesses have overcome tough challenges brought on by government restrictions and the pandemic, while continuing to support good-paying jobs and our local communities,” said Congressman Moolenaar. “This resolution recognizes the hard work of small businesses and celebrates their contributions to America. I encourage residents to support their favorite small businesses next week in honor of Small Business Week."
