“For far too long Michigan farmers and businesses have been overregulated by unelected EPA bureaucrats who are out of touch with the realities on the ground. Today’s Court ruling gives Congress more power to pass policies the American people want, and I will fight for common-sense ideas that strengthen the economy, protect our outdoor heritage, and help Michigan families," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"Line 5 is one of the most important energy sources for Michigan families, many of whom rely on propane to heat their homes each winter. With President Biden blocking a pipeline on his first day in office, my amendment would help ensure Line 5 remains open, by prohibiting Biden from using taxpayer dollars to shut it down. Pipelines are the safest way to transport the energy, and I will continue to fight for affordable and reliable energy for Michigan families,” said Moolenaar.

"Michigan families feel the increased costs of food and gas every day. Inflation is at record levels and President Biden's reckless spending has made the problem worse. Sadly, Michigan residents will have to pay nearly 20 percent more than last year to celebrate the Fourth of July with their friends and family. I will continue to fight for American energy independence, and do everything I can to stop Biden’s spending proposals. When Republicans were in charge, Americans had affordable energy, low inflation, and record low unemployment. We can do it again if President Biden reverses his failed policies,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“Michigan families and seniors are experiencing the highest price increases in four decades as inflation under President Biden is forcing them to take a pay cut. Their money does not go as far as it used to and they’re spending more on the essential items they need. They’re struggling with gas prices that cost more than $5 a gallon, while at the same time Biden and his team do little to expedite the approval of more American energy,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "Biden should have listened to Republicans last year who warned his policies would cause these problems. Now, he should reverse course, end his misguided spending policies and unleash America's energy might.” 

“President Biden’s energy polices have hurt Michigan families and now they have broken the bank for local law enforcement," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "Unfortunately, no one will be surprised if more Michigan communities face the same problem as Isabella County. I am fighting for American energy independence including more oil and gas development, so Michigan families, and the law enforcement officials they rely on, have affordable and reliable energy.”

“President Biden is draining our country’s strategic reserve of oil, which we need for real emergencies, and using it for his own personal emergency. Biden is desperate to cover up the high costs of his failed energy policies and he is putting national security at risk to do it,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “This administration’s energy policies have caused pain for Michigan residents, and it must do more to allow American energy development and pipeline construction.”

“The cost of oil will be a concern for decades to come, and even with electric vehicles, the United States will still need oil, because it is used to make vehicle parts and millions of other products Americans use every day,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. “Instead of begging other countries to produce more oil, President Biden should expedite approval for oil and gas projects here at home. This will create jobs and help the country meet its current and future energy needs as part of a comprehensive strategy that involves oil, gas, and other sources of energy.”

“The situation in Ukraine remains dire with the latest reports indicating Russia has bombed a maternity hospital and other civilian areas. I hope that additional support for Ukraine and penalties for Russia will help Ukraine to victory over Vladimir Putin and his corrupt regime,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.
