"The Army Corps of Engineers FY25 Work Plan is wonderful news for our state, especially the communities like Pentwater on the shores of Lake Michigan. The Pentwater Harbor is a vital asset to the community, providing reliable access to Lake Michigan for thousands of residents and visitors. This crucial funding will help ensure the Pentwater channel is properly maintained to allow for continued access to the Pentwater Harbor. I will continue my work to advocate for communities across Michigan's Second Congressional District to receive vital funding," said Congressman Moolenaar.

"Gotion and its parent company have well-documented ties to the Chinese Communist Party and under no circumstance should American taxpayers fund companies beholden to our adversaries. I am grateful the House Ways and Means Committee has passed my NO GOTION policy in its budget reconciliation package. This policy will ensure that the federal tax dollars of hard-working Michigan families never go to Gotion and other companies affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party. This is common sense, and I will continue my work in Congress to ensure this becomes law.”

"Michigan farmers utilize H-2A employees to grow and harvest the food we rely on every day. Unfortunately federal regulations require family farmers who take advantage of the program to take on unsustainable labor costs, making it difficult to make ends meet. I am grateful Secretary Rollins recognizes this and committed today to working with Congress and the Department of Labor to find a long-term solution to the AEWR calculation which will allow Michigan farmers to thrive," said Moolenaar.

"Nearly every industry relies on railway to ship their goods and access markets across the world. Unfortunately, bureaucrats in California maintain the ability to supersede federal standards and institute policies that would keep vital parts of Michigan's economy, including the agriculture and auto industries, from accessing global markets. The LOCOMOTIVES Act is a commonsense proposal that stops California's policies from impacting our state, and the rest of the country," said Moolenaar.

Our bill honors Shandra's legacy by ensuring no one has to endure what she and her family went through. I am grateful for the bipartisan support of our bill, and I will continue my work to make it law to prevent future deadly TB outbreaks," said Moolenaar.

"The residents of Mecosta County have made it clear multiple times they do not support Gotion operating in their community. The company has continuously misled the public about its close ties to the CCP and refused to heed election results, instead deciding to sue a small town that does not want it. Gotion's announcement it is pausing its application process is good news, however, it should listen to the people of Mecosta County and end its plans in Michigan once and for all," said Moolenaar.
