"President Biden’s policies are shrinking the economy and leaving Michigan families behind. He came into office and canceled oil and gas projects, then he spent $2 trillion on an 'American Rescue Plan' that has hurt families more than it has helped. He paid people extra money not to work, forced mandates on truck drivers carrying essential goods, and was slow to respond as the supply chain problems piled up. President Biden threw away the recovery started by the Trump Administration and to this day there are still fewer jobs than there were in 2019. Biden needs to reverse course, expedite approval of American oil and gas development, and let the economy grow.”

"The inflation crisis under President Biden has driven up the cost of a new lock and created uncertainty for when it will be completed. I will be demanding answers from the Army Corps about its cost estimates and how it plans to be accountable to taxpayers for these overruns while completing this crucial project for our state and the nation. The Biden Administration should immediately reprioritize funding that has already been approved by Congress and direct it toward completing the new lock," said Congressman John Moolenaar, Michigan’s senior member of the House Appropriations Committee.

“The baby formula shortage is a crisis for Michigan parents who are struggling to find food for their newborns and infants,” said Moolenaar. “This legislation will eliminate red tape, help restock shelves, and bring much-needed relief to parents and their young children by allowing for the importation of safe and healthy formula from countries that have high standards just like the United States.”

“In the past two years, the people of this region have come together in generous and incredible ways to recover and rebuild from the flooding. We have rebuilt homes, businesses, roads, and parks, but there is still more work to do, and I am confident it will get it done. In Congress, I successfully secured more than $100 million in federal funding for recovery and rebuilding and this funding has helped spur the recovery.I know this region has outstanding community leaders who will finish the work of bringing the lakes back."

"Threats against Supreme Court justices and their families are on the rise while left-wing activists are marching on their homes. Speaker Pelosi needs to immediately have a vote on the Senate-passed bill to increase security. Every day she does not act she is leaving the justices and their families vulnerable to violence," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "The entire Senate agreed to this bill nine days ago to meet an urgent need, and now the House should pass it too."

"Our veterans deserve the best care and I am proud to be a leading supporter of this legislation, which will create more accountability at the VA. Veterans must be able to track the status of their complaints, and this bill will make that possible,” said Moolenaar.

"The baby formula shortage is a crisis for Michigan families who are already struggling with inflation and high gas prices, and they want answers from President Biden on how he will fix it. The Administration needs to be open about what it is doing and take immediate action to solve this problem,” said Moolenaar.

"Today, the Senate voted to protect the innocent lives of the unborn and defeated an extreme bill that would allow for partial birth abortion," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "I will continue to fight Democrats' efforts to provide unlimited abortion, while supporting outstanding pregnancy resource centers that help parents raise children with the resources they need."
