Michigan residents are not misguided in their concerns about CCP-affiliated companies, and having political leaders bring a spotlight to these issues is not wrong, as Livengood seemed to suggest. In fact, more journalistic skepticism of these companies would help all Michigan residents.

“Biden-Harris policies are hurting Michigan families with higher prices for groceries, housing, and energy. The First Lady’s visit today promises more policies Michigan families cannot afford. I am working to cut wasteful federal spending and rein in inflation,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“This case shows once again that CCP espionage can happen anywhere in America and we must be vigilant. The CCP obviously has an interest in Camp Grayling and this is further evidence it would be a mistake for Michigan leaders to allow Gotion to build in our state. State funding for Gotion’s plan to bring Chinese nationals to Mecosta County is an open invitation for further spying on Camp Grayling. For national security reasons, Governor Whitmer and the legislature must revoke state funding for Gotion immediately," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“President Biden and Vice President Harris unfroze billions of dollars for Iran and Iran has used that money to fund attacks on Israel and Americans in the region. Their weakness has led to the attacks on Israel today. Their failures have completely erased the historic successes of President Trump when Iran was isolated, and Israel and the United States signed the historic Abraham Accords with key countries in the Middle East. We must unequivocally stand with Israel and never allow the terrorist Iranian regime to wipe Israel off the face of the earth,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“This bipartisan legislation addresses failures in existing law and will help ensure compliance with the safety regulations that are needed to protect the American people,” said Moolenaar. “We know in Michigan that the failures of federal bureaucrats, state officials, and a negligent dam owner led to devastating consequences, and we must update the laws to prevent that from happening again.”

“This is a David vs. Goliath fight and these new documents show how giant Gotion will stop at nothing to personally attack brave people in the community who raise serious concerns about the company’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party and its plans for the Big Rapids area. Is this really the kind of company the MEDC wants to give millions of dollars to? When will state leaders cut off funding for this company and its attacks on Michigan residents?” said Congressman John Moolenaar.

“Today’s rule from the Biden-Harris team fails to do enough to protect Michigan workers and the American people from CCP threats to our auto industry. While the administration has concluded Chinese auto components and software are a national security threat, Biden and Harris must now stop their giveaway of taxpayer dollars to CCP-affiliated companies. They should support my NO GOTION Act, which will stop Chinese companies from collecting billions of dollars from American taxpayers. Finally, while Biden and Harris talk tough on China, their EV rules play into the hands of the CCP, and make our auto industry dependent on supply chains controlled by China. They must end those rules and let American autoworkers innovate,” said John Moolenaar, the chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party.

“President Biden and Vice President Harris are attempting to force the production of electric vehicles the American people do not want. This hurts Michigan’s auto companies and everyone who works in our auto industry. It also plays right into the hands of the Chinese Communist Party’s plans to dominate the EV supply chain. Biden and Harris must end this policy because it hurts Michigan jobs and creates an unfair playing field for Michigan workers,” said Moolenaar.
