For over two hundred years, the men and women of the United States military have protected us and defended American values at home and abroad. We must commit to a strong national defense in order to respond to challenges from countries like China and Russia, deter rogue states like Iran and North Korea, and defeat violent extremists who know no borders.
The men and women of our Armed Forces deserve the best resources and support possible to carry out their mission to keep America safe. I am committed to ensuring our troops have the tools and training they need to be effective wherever and whenever they are called upon.

"Sheriff Cole has also seen firsthand the damage the fentanyl crisis has done to communities across Michigan and he understands how President Biden's policies at the southern border have allowed more fentanyl to enter the country and make its way to Michigan. It is an important issue facing our nation and Biden needs to address it."

"The Biden administration knew about the Chinese Community Party's spy balloon a week ago. It then allowed the balloon to travel across the U.S., collecting information, before finally taking it down. Those seven days of weakness and inaction jeopardized our national security. The balloon could have been stopped after it was first spotted and posed minimal threat to the public," said Congressman John Moolenaar.

"President Biden is using our nation’s emergency supply of oil to bail out his failing policies. He should be supporting policies that make it easier to produce oil and gas here in America,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "When Republicans led from 2017 through 2021, the national average for gasoline was never more than $3.00 a gallon. Now Michigan families regularly pay $4.00 a gallon or more while Biden drains our nation’s emergency supply of oil.”

"Michigan’s economy relies on agriculture and we need to do everything we can to protect farmers and their crops from invasive species. "Michigan residents should feel safe, regardless of their political views. They want to know that law enforcement is taking these threats seriously and working to stop the next attack. Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice need to get to work and stop these far-left attacks."

“Speaker Pelosi is leaving Supreme Court justices at risk and allowing far-left protesters to continue intimidating them and their families at their homes. It’s a disgraceful low in American politics. Every Democrat and Republican in the Senate already agreed to a bill to provide the justices with more security, but she continues to block it from a vote in the House. She should hold a vote on the Senate bill immediately,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.
