"The federal government has no right to impose this requirement on private businesses or private citizens," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "President Biden declared that America was free from COVID restrictions in July, but now he is reluctant to let the American people make their own decisions. This federal overreach is alarming and every American should be concerned about how this president and future presidents will abuse the power of the federal government to make Americans do what they want. "I encourage everyone to get one of the vaccines and protect themselves from COVID-19, and I trust Michigan residents to do what is best for them and their families."

“Michigan small businesses have overcome tough challenges brought on by government restrictions and the pandemic, while continuing to support good-paying jobs and our local communities,” said Congressman Moolenaar. “This resolution recognizes the hard work of small businesses and celebrates their contributions to America. I encourage residents to support their favorite small businesses next week in honor of Small Business Week."

“Our nation lost 13 brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, and I ask that we continue to pray for the grieving families of those who were killed,” said Congressman Moolenaar. “The Congressional Gold Medal is one of our nation's highest honors and will help ensure the sacrifice and bravery of these 13 men and women will always be remembered."

"MBS is a critical part of the economy of the Great Lakes Bay Region and this grant will help the airport continue to serve passengers who live in and visit our state.”

“The catastrophic situation in Afghanistan right now is endangering the lives of brave Americans and Afghans who have worked together to defend the United States. Our country owes it to them to immediately get them out of danger as quickly and safely as possible. The disastrous events of the past few days show the Biden Administration was unprepared for what has happened. Now, President Biden must ensure safety and security at the airport in Kabul and send all of the resources necessary for our military to safely complete its withdrawal from Afghanistan while leaving nothing behind that could eventually be used against innocent civilians.”

“Today, I mourn the loss of my friend and colleague, and I offer my condolences to Paul’s wife Sherry and their entire family. Paul and I competed against one another, but we also quickly became friends, and I will always be grateful for his friendship and service to our nation. He always stood up for his beliefs, especially as the leader of the School Choice Caucus, and he worked hard to do what was right for Michigan families. I am heartbroken by Paul's passing and know he will be greatly missed.”  

“Today’s grant can be used to help prevent future flooding and play an important role in protecting our communities,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. "The funding is part of more than $100 million in federal support I have helped secure for rebuilding homes, businesses, and infrastructure damaged by last year’s flooding. There is more work to do and I will continue to work with local, state, and federal leaders to help our region recover.”
