Today, Congressman John Moolenaar met with Birgitta Tazelaar, the Dutch Ambassador to the United States. Their conversation covered areas of cooperation between the United States and the Netherlands, while recognizing the deep cultural and historical ties shared with West Michigan.
Chairman John Moolenaar, of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, and Chairman Tim Walberg, of the House Education and Workforce Committee, are calling on the leaders of Eastern Michigan University, Oakland University, and the University of Detroit Mercy to end their schools’ partnerships with Chinese universities. In these partnerships, the Michigan universities are directly interacting with Chinese institutions that support the Chinese military and its efforts to gain a technological advantage over the United States.
Today, Congressman John Moolenaar, along with Congressmen Darin LaHood (R-IL) and Jared Golden (D-ME), reintroduced the bipartisan No Official Giveaways Of Taxpayers’ Income to Oppressive Nations (NO GOTION) Act in the House of Representatives. The bill will also be introduced in the U.S.
