Trump Signs New Trade Agreement Legislation
Today, President Donald Trump signed into law the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA).
The new agreement is a massive victory for President Trump and the American people, and it enjoys broad support from agricultural organizations, labor unions, small business groups, and America’s largest companies.
Congressman John Moolenaar voted for the trade agreement in December when it passed the House. He made the following statement on today’s signing:
“President Trump has kept his promise to fight for a better deal for our state. This new trade agreement is a win for agriculture and manufacturing that opens new markets for Michigan farmers and creates more opportunities for Michigan-made goods. The economy is strong right now with low unemployment and raising wages, and I believe Michigan workers will continue to thrive under this new agreement because they’re the best in the world.”
