Moolenaar Welcomes Grant for EightCap

Today, the federal Department of Health and Human Services announced a new grant for EightCap, a community services provider in Gratiot, Ionia, Isabella, and Montcalm counties.

The grant of more than $4 million will go toward the organization's efforts to provide local communities with Head Start and Early Head Start education for young children. Additional details on the grant are available in the attached PDF.

Congressman John Moolenaar is a member of the House Appropriations Committee and serves on the Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education subcommittee with oversight of HHS. He made the following statement on today's grant:

"I have seen firsthand the positive work EightCap does locally here in mid Michigan. It is outstanding to see that effort recognized with this grant which will help EightCap offer educational opportunities to young children in our communities."
