Moolenaar: VP Harris Is a Disaster for Michigan Families

Today, Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to visit Detroit. Her policies in office alongside President Biden have made life more difficult for Michigan families. In 2021, Harris broke a tie in the Senate to advance the $1.9 trillion "American Rescue Plan," and in 2022, she cast the deciding vote to pass the $1 trillion so-called “Inflation Reduction Act.” Under her and Biden’s policies, prices have risen over 20%.

“Vice President Harris is responsible for trillions of dollars in wasteful spending and the painful inflation hurting Michigan families. Parents and seniors are struggling to make ends meet and they see the results of her failures every time they pay their bills or go to the grocery store,” said Congressman John Moolenaar. 

Due to the inflation caused by the Biden-Harris administration, Michigan families must earn an extra $1,002 every month to afford the same standard of living they had before Biden and Harris took office.
