Moolenaar Votes to Protect Michigan Residents' Second Amendment Rights

June 9, 2022

Today, Congressman John Moolenaar voted against House Democrats' gun control legislation.

"This legislation restricts law-abiding Michigan residents who follow the rules and safely exercise their Second Amendment rights every day," said Congressman John Moolenaar. "Unfortunately, crime is rising in many communities. Citizens have the right to defend themselves, and this legislation would infringe upon that right. A more constructive approach to preventing crime and other tragedies would use common-sense policies that improve security, protect vulnerable people, and enable better communication between law enforcement agencies."
