Moolenaar Votes for a Pay Raise for Our Troops

March 8, 2017

Today, the House of Representatives passed legislation funding military operations for the rest of the federal government's fiscal year which ends on September 30, 2017.

The cost of the legislation is $583.7 billion and it includes full funding for a 2.1 percent pay increase for U.S. troops.

Congressman John Moolenaar voted for the legislation and made the following statement:

"Our men and women in uniform confront threats abroad so we don't have to face them here at home. This legislation provides them with the equipment they need to win on the battlefield and gives them and their families a well-deserved pay raise."
