Moolenaar Votes To Keep America Safe and Give Our Troops a Raise
Today, the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act, a bipartisan bill that guides our nation’s military and provides it with the resources it needs to carry out its missions around the world.
The NDAA increases defense funding to protect the American people from threats including Iran, North Korea, Russia, a rising China, and terrorism, as well as cyberthreats.
The legislation also gives American servicemembers a 3.1 percent raise, their largest pay raise in a decade.
Congressman John Moolenaar voted for the legislation and made the following statement on the legislation:
“Our men and women in uniform are on the frontlines of keeping our nation safe so I am proud to support a pay raise for them and their families. This national security legislation will also give our troops the resources and equipment they need to carry out their missions and keep the American people safe from the dangerous threats in our world.”
