Moolenaar Votes Against Taxpayer Funding for Political Campaigns
Today, on a party-line vote with no support from a single Republican, House Democrats passed H.R.1, legislation that would provide taxpayer funding for political campaigns.
Congressman John Moolenaar voted against the legislation:
“Michigan residents work hard to provide for their families and they want their tax dollars to be used for protecting the Great Lakes, funding infrastructure, and keeping our country safe. They want their hard-earned money to be used for important priorities and not for political campaigns.”
