Moolenaar Supports Legislation to Protect Veterans

March 14, 2018

Today, the House of the Representatives passed the Preventing Crimes Against Veterans Act. The legislation makes it a federal crime, punishable by fine and up to five years in prison, to defraud veterans of their VA benefits.

Congressman John Moolenaar supported the legislation and made the following statement:

"It's truly shameful that there are people who would target veterans and steal their VA benefits. This legislation will ensure that those who steal from our veterans will face justice for their actions."
