Moolenaar Statement on Granger Stepping Down as Chair of the Appropriations Committee
Today, Congresswoman Kay Granger, the Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, announced she is stepping down as the chair of the committee. Granger has served in the House of Representatives since 1997.
Congressman John Moolenaar, a member of the House Appropriations Committee made the following statement:
“Kay has been a strong leader for our country as the head of the Appropriations Committee, and she has been a steadfast advocate for national security and our military. She is a trailblazer, as the first woman to be elected mayor of Fort Worth, and the first female Republican to serve in the House of Representatives from Texas. Her leadership will be missed on the committee and I wish her all the best.”
