Moolenaar Statement on the Death of Former State Senator Tom Casperson

On Sunday, former State Senator Tom Casperson passed away at age 61 due to lung cancer. Congressman John Moolenaar served with Casperson in the Michigan House from 2003 through 2008 and the Michigan Senate from 2011 through 2014. He made the following statement on Casperson's passing:

"Tom was a great friend, a courageous patriot, and a good and faithful servant for the people of Michigan. I always enjoyed working with him in the state legislature, where he was a tenacious advocate for the Upper Peninsula and its people. His work will benefit UP communities for decades to come and I join Tom's family and friends in mourning his passing."
