Moolenaar Reviews Intelligence Information Made Available to Congress

Today, Congressman John Moolenaar reviewed classified information related to a foreign military capability that has been made available to all members of Congress by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

“I have reviewed the classified information and while it is concerning for our national security, there is no imminent danger to the American people and there is no need for panic. I hope the information will be declassified when it is safe to do so, and then Congress can publicly debate how to respond. In the weeks and months ahead, I will continue my work in Congress to keep America safe and make sure our military has the resources it needs to defeat our enemies,” said Moolenaar.

Earlier today, HPSCI Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) urged President Joe Biden to declassify the information so Congress and the American people can be made aware of it and debate how the country should respond.
