Moolenaar: Bidenflation Continues Hurting Michigan Families
Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation rose 3.5% in March compared to March of 2023. The year-over-year increase compounds inflation on top of the record inflation rates Michigan families have experienced under President Joe Biden.
“Inflation in March was higher than the experts thought, but it was no surprise to the Michigan families who are paying more for everything they buy under President Biden. His policies have printed trillions of dollars, sparked inflation, burdened small businesses, and generally made life harder for Americans,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.
Since President Biden took office in January 2021, inflation has risen 19.4%. A CBS report from last year showed the average Michigan family must earn an additional $10,435 every year just to afford the same standard of living they had before the beginning of the Biden administration.
