Moolenaar Announces New Health Care Funding for Mid and Northern Michigan

April 7, 2020

Today, Congressman John Moolenaar announced new funding for two Michigan community health centers made available by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that he supported in Washington, D.C. on March 27.

"I supported this funding in Congress because I know it is vitally needed for our community health centers," said Moolenaar. "Our health care professionals on the front lines of this pandemic are doing an amazing job and this funding will help them provide care and save lives."

The funding announced today is $779,960 for Mid Michigan Health Services in Houghton Lake and $607,190 for Isabella Citizens for Health in Mount Pleasant. The House of Representatives passed the CARES Act on March 27, and it was signed into law by President Trump on the same day.
