Gotion Hides From Transparency, Again
Today, Gotion Inc. argued in court that its CEO should not have to testify in legal proceedings between the giant CCP-affiliated company and the small town of 1,400 people it is suing. This goes against the previous statement of Gotion’s Vice President of North American Manufacturing who promised in May that “Gotion will be a center for transparency of fact sharing.”
“This Gotion deal has involved secrecy every step of the way – with MEDC using non-disclosure agreements and now Gotion trying to block Green Township from questioning the company's CEO. This CCP-affiliated company continues to force itself onto a community that does not want it. State and local leaders should end this project for good and allow the healing to begin,” said Jacob Huner, press secretary for Congressman John Moolenaar.
