Today, Bates Footwear announced it has won a new five-year, $30.5 million contract from the U.S. government to manufacture temperate weather boots for the U.S. Marines. The boots will be made at Bates' facility in Big Rapids.

Marines have been wearing Bates products for decades and this contract means they will be wearing the world’s best boots for another five years.”
