As your member of Congress, I have been fighting to secure the southern border. I have traveled to the border and seen firsthand how President Biden's failed border policies have created a dangerous crisis. What is happening at the southern border affects all of us. Drug cartels are trafficking people across the border, padding their own pockets and using them to smuggle deadly drugs into our country. Those drugs travel across the United States and reach communities here in Michigan, where they harm our loved ones. I am fighting to stop this. I believe we must secure the border, build barriers to make it harder to enter, and enforce the Remain in Mexico policy that requires migrants to wait for processing in Mexico instead of being released into the United States.
