Moolenaar Supports Moving U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem
Today, President Donald Trump announced his administration’s decision to direct the State Department to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. The embassy is currently located in Tel Aviv.
On June 5, 2017, the U.S. Senate reaffirmed support for moving the embassy to Jerusalem. The vote was 90-0.
Congressman John Moolenaar supports today's decision and made the following statement:
“There is strong bipartisan support for moving our country’s embassy to Jerusalem. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and Jerusalem is its capital city. By moving the American embassy to Jerusalem, the United States reaffirms its historic alliance with Israel.”
