Moolenaar Helps Fourth District Constituents Receive $4 Million Owed to Them

Press Release

Congressman John Moolenaar’s office has helped thousands of hardworking residents in mid and northern Michigan receive funds that were owed to them by the federal government.

This includes helping seniors receive payments for missing Social Security checks, as well as veterans who are not receiving the VA benefits owed to them for serving our nation. The office also helps those who are receiving unfair treatment from the IRS, including owed refunds being held by the government.

As a result of this work, Congressman Moolenaar’s staff recently completed work that put the office over $4 million in returned funds the federal government owed to constituents. The total includes work that has been done since Congressman Moolenaar took office in January 2015 through November of this year.

“It is an honor to serve as a voice in Congress for my constituents and to work on their behalf when they have issues with the federal government. My office and I can help cut through the red tape, and I hope constituents in mid and northern Michigan will reach out to us when they need assistance with a federal agency. It's been especially meaningful to help so many of our veterans receive the benefits they were promised for serving our country, and that's been one of my biggest priorities since taking office,” said Moolenaar.

Constituents who need assistance with the federal government are encouraged to call either one of Congressman Moolenaar's offices in Midland and Cadillac. The phone number in Midland is 989-631-2552 and the phone number in Cadillac is 231-942-5070.
