Moolenaar on Secret Service Director Cheatle’s Resignation
Today, United States Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle announced she is resigning from her position. The announcement comes as calls for her resignation grew after she testified before the House Oversight Committee on Monday.
“Director Cheatle failed the American people and the brave Secret Service agents under her leadership with poor executive decisions and a lack of accountability. It is a miracle President Trump is alive today. The new leadership of the U.S. Secret Service will be tasked with restoring confidence in the organization, and to do so they must be cooperative, transparent, and determined to ensure the safety of our nation’s leaders,” said Congressman John Moolenaar, who called for the resignation of Cheatle yesterday.
